The Shull Wollan Center is located on the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) site at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. A purpose-built facility funded by the State of Tennessee, the center contains conference and office space to support workshops, lectures, and temporary workspaces for visiting scientists, postdocs, and students. The center also contains 8 laboratory facilities which are available for use by all SWC visitors and affiliates.

- Getting to ORNL
- ORNL is located in Roane County, Tennessee, about 7 miles from the center of the city of Oak Ridge and about 25 miles from the McGhee Tyson Airport near Knoxville. ORNL welcomes visitors to the Laboratory. However, there are security requirements for accessing the site. Bethel Valley Road, which is the main access route to ORNL from both directions, is closed to the public. If you are planning a visit to the Shull Wollan Center, it is very important to make the necessary arrangements for your visit ahead of time.
